Yamaha YDP-151 digital piano for sale.
I bought this last year from a music store across the street from the park with the big pagoda in Jongno (central Seoul). In Korean won, I paid 1,050,000 for everything (new), including a nice bench and a book of piano scores published by Yamaha. And I still have the documentation/certification stuff as well. The piano is in excellent condition. It has been lightly used, only moved once from the store to my apartment, and the plastic wrap is still on the pedals.
This price I paid included delivery, and I am able to do the same within a reasonable distance within Seoul.
I no longer have the cardboard box it came in, but I can fairly easily dismantle the base and transport it to you in the trunk of my friend's car. If you are able to pick it up, I could come down on the price a bit. This is negotiable.
This is a great instrument for anyone who is accustomed to playing on a real piano. I have tried many digital pianos, and for its price, in my opinion, it's the best I've come across. It has a good touch . . . the weighted keys aren't too stiff or too light. The quality of the piano samples is very good . . . it has a very clear and warm sound. The touch-sensitivity is good and adjustable.
I got this because, like most of you, I live in a small apartment in Seoul, and the sound from a real piano would carry throughout my building. The Yamaha has two headphone jacks and a small hook for the headphones. It also has a MIDI in and out, as well as a pedal jack. The three pedals work just like a real piano (including the middle pedal). It has two speakers underneath that sound quite good.
It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles. Just a quality sound and realistic touch. It has a single track recorder and the standard MIDI patches. This is for someone who wants the next best thing to having a real piano. Really, it's great for keeping your technique in shape.
I'm leaving Seoul on September 1st, so I would like to sell the instrument any time between now and then.
Here is the YDP-151 page on the Yamaha website:

I will respond to your email by the end of the day. I live in the Gangnam area, so feel free to come by and test it out.
Thanks,

Habe you advertised it on Korean sites? Maybe there is a music school somewhere in Seoul which is in need of a piano? You might want to lower the price a bit. |

My wife says that in Korea, you need to ask for half price, even for as new items.
I'd make an offer, as we would like a piano for our daughter, but we're not willing to go very high right now-liquidity concerns. |
