A testament to the importance Koreans place on education.
The vice principal of the school, identified as Yoon, said, The whole school, the teachers and the students alike, are in great shock after a tragedy that should never have happened. It was difficult to carry out classes in the afternoon

Is this something like the number of hours at work is a testament to the importance Koreans place on work productivity? |

Education is more important than recovering from emotional shock brought on by witnessing such barbaric violence. Counseling? Go back to class and pretend you never saw this. |

So it's a good idea to send traumatized kids home for the afternoon where many would have been alone? In a situation like that at the school, there is no great solution. At least the kids were supervised and with a supportive adult.
Don't be in such a rush to criticize. |

Did the police not want to take statements, ask questions, analyse the scene?
Anyways, not a dig on Korea. I just wonder what was behind the decision to carry on with the days classes. |

They should have brought crisis counselors into the school. |

They would have just gone to the PC room to play Counter Strike. |

Koreans are hard core man...not like us soft westerners. When we witness a murder, everyone needs counseling and therapy, when it happens to them, they just drink some soju, go to a singing room and forget all about it. |

Imagine trying to teach class after seeing a man get murdered? I think I'd just show the kids a movie or play them some relaxing music. Maybe find a counsellor via youtube. |

They probably didn't have actual classes where teachers were teaching and students were learning. Come on. There would've been too much commotion. Plus, like someone has already said, they can't just ship the students off anywhere. |
