Congrats Korea.

Very close game, Cuba a huge threat in the ninth and Korea got a double play. Ball was hit hard but right to the ss. GG Smile

That's great. It will make up for them losing the world cup of baseball a couple years ago. I seem to recall Korea winning most of their earlier games handily, Japan just making it into the playoffs, and then Korea lost a crucial game, and Japan won the series.

Despite me enjoying watching Korea fall on its face when its going on hubris, I thought then Korea was the real story of the world cup of baseball.

Wonderful!

But if baseball is a sport, then jerking off qualifies as sex.

Sorry it was the world baseball classic:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_World_Baseball_Classic

First two rounds Korea was undefeated but they just ate Japanese spunk in the playoffs. 6-0. Geez, did their coach beat them the night before? No wait might have made the perform better. The coach might have taken them to an anma before the big game...

If you have the cojones say this to Prince Fielder, Manny Ramirez, or CC Sabathia to their face, I'll respect your take on the sport. Otherwise, you're just a net-tard, and a euro-trash net-tard at that.

They loaded the bases with one out. Korea changed pitchers and the new pitcher threw something low and got a sharply hit ground ball in the infield and they turned the double play.

Earlier in the bottom of the ninth, for some reason, the Korean pitcher, catcher, and manager made a big deal about a pitch that was called a ball by the home plate umpire. It was CLEARLY outside and the catcher "pulled it in" to try to fool the ump. They may have been upset about the balls/strikes calls all night, OR, they may have been trying to set up the ump as a scapegoat if they lost.

Yeah it sucks we didn't have mlb players. I personally believe my fantasy team would sweep the olympics. I have Hamilton, Utely, CC Sabathia, and others whose stats would dominate.

But baseball is not like basketball. A lesser team can win. That's not to say Korea is a lesser team. I think they had the best lineup in this olympics and deserved to win.

The problem is the USA does not care about international baseball. And untill that happens it's gonna be a sleeper sport.

Pro players do not equal a automatic win. Just look at the 2004 USA Dream Team Laughing

Um, I'm not saying the US should send MLB players. It doesn't matter.

Besides, isn't baseball being eliminated from the Olympics?

Yes, baseball and softball are being eliminated from the Olympics. As far as the MLB players, it certainly would have helped to have had those players. What the Korea team did was impressive, but they didn't beat the best players from those countries. I noticed that Korea had their player from Japan( I don't know his name). When they beat the US, it was their Major league players against Minor leaue players from the US. When it gets to the level where the US sends their best players and their fans get into it like the Korean fans, then it will be on even footing. But like one guy said earlier, the US doesn't really care about International baseball.

Think youre right. Another World Cup is coming next spring. Funny the US were not even close last time. Didn't Canada even beat them. Japan won and Korea and Cuba were next best---Dominicans also tough.

It's true.

Actually the Koreans were missing Choo (Cleveland) and Chan Ho Park. Japan and Taiwan also could have bigger stars in the Olympics.
The only "complete" team was Cuba.

But it would funnier if he said it to Milton Bradley.

You make it sound so easy, i'd love to see you even hit against a high school pitcher. The people on this board never cease to amaze me.
