It's called the placebo effect, which is well established.

Anyone know where I can find any placebo effect around now?

I am looking for any gigong groups or anyone studying energy work who might be interested in helping out a beginner.

I'm a Master Reiki guy, you can come by my apartment which is across the street from Paris Bagette by Yatap station.

Usually I have my students practice the art of ironing cloths, then we get started on the real stuff.

How are you with a swiffer mop?

I don't think the point of this person's post was to be bashed by people who want to say Reiki doesn't work...

http://www.chikara-reiki-do.com/

Is a decent online one, I'm a member, PM me if you want to check it out with my user name and password!

Hello,

I am a Reiki Master/Teacher will be coming to the Busan area for at least a year in February. If you are interested in Reiki, please contact me! I also am an IET practitioner. IET stands for 'integrated energy therapy.'

"IET supports you in safely and gently releasing limiting energy patterns of your past, empowering and balancing your life in the present, and helps you to reach for the stars as you evolve into your future."

I would love to set up classes if people are interested.

I'm a Jedi master in the Bundang area.

Contact me if you want to learn how to say 'whoooh' really good when you swing fake light sabers.

There is a fee.

Judging by that wiki article, reiki looks like a massage without the hands moving. Wouldn't it be more effective to just have a regular massage?

Interesting that this popped up.

I'm a total skeptic who doesn't believe in the spiritual things normal people believe in, like God, or even a divine spirit or Earth Mother or something like that.

But... I had a Reiki session once... (it came free with a yoga retreat...) and it was amazing. I don't know why. I had no expectations except that it might be relaxing. But it cured my hangover and made me feel euphoric. At one point, when she was waving her hands over my heart chakra, I started crying. I don't know why.

I'm absolutely skeptical that reiki can cure diseases, but it did have an effect on my feeling... even though it was just some person waving her hands over me (no touching) and dangling crystals over my chakras. The amazing thing is I have absolutely NO belief in supernatural or spiritual things.

So... if you have the chance to try reiki, go for it!

Great to see that their are some options here in Korea to give Reiki a try. I'm mostly intrigued to just test the waters and see what works and what doesn't.

Reiki? Why are there so many ads on craigslist of girls in bikinis offering this type of massage? Is it a legitimate kind of massage?
