Can you wash pillows, I would let them dry right over my aircon. My mom says no but I dunno, I think you can?

Good question. I thought about that very issue recently. I don't know the official answer though.

you can but it would be best to hand wash as washing machines can ruin the internal structure

I have washed my pillows before in washing machines; no probs at all.

Mine were NOT filled with down feathers (tho' down-feather-filled pillows are my favourites by a long shot) - I'm not sure how washing those would play out. Ask the neighbourhood cleaner?

Yeah, I don't think I can ask my neighorhood cleaner. As I can only say hi, good bye, thank you, and whatever the hell yogi-yo means. I don't think wash and pillows are in my vocab yet. Oh yeah, and elephant, elephant is cuck-a-dee!!

Well I was told by a hopefully reliable source on another website I can wash. But so help me if he is wrong I will kick his booty b/c I don't have any money to buy more pillows!!

thank you all for replying in a timely manner. For all intersted parties I will let you know how it turns out.

It's probably too late but mom knows best. Your pillow will be lumpy and strange.

Have you checked out the hard Korean pillows filled with beans or something? They're pretty comfy and easier to clean.

Where do you get down pillows? Or are people here scared of bird flu?

Mom's do always know best. But my pillows are very synthetic like. I bought the pillows that had a terantula looking bug on it and an X throught it meaning I think no bed bugs. I thought I was buying one pillow but it was 2 in the pack, so I have 4. And then I have these 2 other cotton pillows that are small. They have spagetti all over them, I know that sounds weird but I decied to make spagetti very late at night b/c if I didn't want the meat would go bad. So I did not want to be wasteful.

There in the wash now, I will wait and see

They might be lumpy, but they will still be better than stinky pillows covered in spaghetti sauce and cum.

The only thing I'd really worry about is drying. Putting them in a dryer is best, Korea is so humid now I'd worry about mold.

and, if the pillow is gross enough to require washing, how about just buying a new one? they're not much more than 5000 won a pop in most stores.

Wylies, you mujst be under the impression I have money for pillow cases. I spent all my money on alcohol and hookers. I am waiting on my mothers lovely care package with normal pillow cases, til then I put them in the wash. Although, I do love the smell of spagetti and cum, oh wait....

I've washed the non-feather pillows before. They tend to want to float on top and the soap doesn't easily wash out of them. It's best to use a front-loading machine than typical Korean top-loader.

Yes, they do become a bit more lumpy, but it does work.

Why does that sound like an FSU grad? You're lucky. Some people have to depend on problem-solving skills for relatively simple decisions in life.
