I often think of some of the greatest scientific minds when I think of this verse. Choosing to love their delusion rather than loving the truth. |

Anyone who won't accept Christ as their savior will go to hell. Many top scientists don't believe in Jesus and so seal their fate by choosing not to believe.
If you were a Christian, as you say you are, you would agree with what I say. Rather than being chicken and going with a popular answer why don't you go with truth? |

I respect Christianity, so I defend it from the Dawkins flunkies on these boards. I just find your brand of Christianity ignorant and backwards, like most of the North American evangelical type. |

A self-righteousness that believes an eternity in hell is a just reaction for a god to see over people who fail to go down on his ego. That there is somehow something to learn about a loving god from an endless torment of fire and brimstone. |

Sin demands punishment....you choose it if you don't take the "get out of hell option"....Jesus Christ. All of man was going to go to hell, but because of His mercy he gave us a way out. We didn't deserve it...but because of His love for us...He gave it to us.
So instead of looking at hell....look at Heaven and the rewards stored up for those who call upon His name. |

If a nightclub, the best nightclub in the world asked you to come in, but shot dead all your friends at the door, would you walk in? Heaven* is as repugnant as Hell.
I think I'll remain saved from Jesus.
*(Not Heaven the nightclub in London, it is filthy though) |

You do realize that secularism/communism has killed millions of innocent people. Any country without God in the middle is usually has the worst human rights record. Are you responsible for that? Lennon, Stalin and Mao are your heros of the faith. Are you proud of their killing fields?
