I''ve worked at a French university where all the rest of the teachers were English (I'm American), and also at a hagwon with an English guy.

Best people I've ever worked with. Very, very kind folks.

If you have a negative impression of an English person, it probably revolves around alcohol. At the 98 world cup the French were worried about English fans. There was some trouble in Marseille, I believe it was.

Generally they're great, though. And very funny usually.

mods get rid of this thread. far too many racist generalisations, comparing one english person to all. insulting an entire country and creating a lot of hatred on the board for absolutly no reason. several posters have overstepped the line and have let everyone see how they (yanks/canadians or whatever) believe that they are the superior race.

im not english for the record, though i lived there for a short while and don't agree with the generalisations made here, granted i do 'take the piss' quite often on the forum, but some scumbags have gone too far.

if english people were to start a thread on how stupid and fat americans were. "everythings big in america" how everything that comes from america is talentless tack, george bush, horrible accents etc,
you would feel like a bit of an asswipe.
thread closed

further, this forum is constantly used to slag off korea/koreans, thats fine as we are all expats living here venting some frustration, but there is no reason to explain why you hate a cerain race who use this board, just like any foreigner bar, if you have a problem with a certain 'type' (be it yank, kiwi etc) and feel the need to let those people know, you wouldnt be welcome because all english teachers are ment to stick together and help each other out.
