My dad is planning on coming to visit for about a month and my place is way too small for him to stay with. I've found sites that list places with a minimum of 3 months, but that's too long. Does anyone know if such places exist? We really don't care where in Seoul it is, just as long as it's cheaper than a month-long hotel stay.

Yeh, you might just want to try walking around your neighborhood to all the hotels and motels and see what you can negotiate. There are so many small motels and hotels you should be able to find something reasonable. After that I would hop on the subway and go a few stops away and see if another neighborhood is more reasonable. Cost can vary a lot in Seoul based on the neighborhood as I am sure you know. If your dad is near a subway station, what does it matter if he isn't right in your neighborhood. Of course maybe when you factor in travel expense on the subway it won't save him anything.

If you search for guest houses in Seoul some of those are fairly reasonable too. There are a couple that are even around the Insa Dong area.

Try this place for starters. I bet for a month you could get them down to 25,000-30,000 per night.
