call me a mug, or what you will.

I work in a hagwon, alone, only ft, thats why i need to ask a million questions on daves.

Iv never had a receipt for my pay from my boss, even though it says in my contract that i should get one.

please remind me of why i need one. Is this normal? Would this be an indicator that they are screwing me out of money?

What excuses can I use to ask for a receipt, rather than saying I want one because I dont trust you. i.e can I say i need them for getting tax back at the end of the year etc.

Two reasons why you will never get a pay slip

1) Laziness

2) Paperwork is a nono. It leads to such things as taxes. It can even be used as evidence.

Actually a piece of advice is make your own slip and have the owner sign it and "chop" it.

Am I right in saying that a 'chop'is a stamp?

Skippy is correct, but your bank book may also be used as evidence, I think.

You may need a payslip as some banks, such as Shinhan, require a paystub for you to transfer money home. They will only allow you to transfer the amount on each pay stub, not a won more. Though I am sure other banks have their own policy.

I am not a fan of Shinhan.
