It's a shame, but reading the Usa's boxing medal count, Mike Tyson and pay per view have literally destroyed boxing in the USA. And the corrupt, alphabet soup of belts (ibf, wba, etc.) that they give out.
The sport is dead. It used to be a top 3 sport or even top 2 back in the 50s and 60s. Some people think it's a brutal sport, but I'm a fight fan.
Part of it is probably that ultimate fighting crap (or whatever it is called) and god awful "pro" wrestling, but still, it sucks boxing has dropped off the radar in America. |
