I hope I can make this clear.

I work for a small after school program. Although the native speakers have not yet ben notified, I've heard through the grapevine that our company is getting bought by a larger company.

A couple years ago I worked for a hakwon that was moving locations and since they would not have the client base in their new area, they offered to let one teacher go. The deal was two months pay on the next paycheck because the school had not given the mandatory one month's notice.

From what I've heard, my company will be sold early next month. Seeing as how I have yet to be notified, there has not been one month's notice of my job ending.

My question then, is do I have a right to an extra month's pay in this situation?

Thanks for any information.

Legally speaking and as far as Immigration is concerned, the after school program is not your employer; the public school you're working in is.
