|
|
Hi
Ever since I came to Korea, I always had thought about sending a Korean bidet back home to Canada. I'm sure it would be a big hit and people would come from all over the neighborhood to use the contraption, haha!
Gotta admit, they are pretty cool!
Now, other than the voltage and Korean on the buttons, is there anything that would make it impossible to work on a North America house toilet?
They are pretty cheap nowadays.
Thx |

Really?
I know they're probably a lot healthier/cleaner/better for enviro, BUT I hate those things.
Good luck with your project, tho. |

They're available in the U.S. and Canada, just not popular.

They exist in North America as well. They have been there longer than Korea ripped off the Japanese styled ones. Korean bidets apparently short circut very easily. You're better off buying a Japanese brand. |

I know they sell them in North America, but I want to buy one here. Seem to have way more options and features than the ones back home. Plus they sell more here, so price is better
The major thing Im trying to find out is, if the main hose coming from the unit, can connect easily to exisiting copper piping back home?? Here in Asia they sometimes have different types of adapters and use different

I love bidets. I'm really considering buying one for my apartment. Much more hygienic than using paper. I can't imagine why somebody would prefer smearing feces all over their skin than rising it off with a bidet. |

Two things I'm taking with me when I'm done teaching overseas:
1) Bidets
2) Floor heating
And yeah, while many Westerners will mock the bidet, using toilet paper to clean yourself is really fucking gross when you think about it. |

The thing I love most about them:
In the winter you get the option of having a heated toilet seat. That is really a plus if your bathroom isn't heated.
On those days when you got the fire coming out from behind, a nice cool blast of water on the right spot helps a lot. It is also better for the environment than using baby wipes or wet wipes.
Now that I am in Canada I have been thinking of getting one as well. I told my parents about them but they seem scared of using one.
There is also the fact you save money overall by using way less toilet paper |

yeah, saves on toilet paper, heats your butt on those cold freezing mornings and once you use then, you never go back, haha!
there's no reason to fear using them! im sure if everyone back home used one, they'd all be addicted.
it would also be the best and most talked about christmas gift under the tree |

Once you bidet, you can't go back to wiping...........ugh....those dark days of wiping.......
Whether the water inlet pipe from a Korean bidet will fit onto a Canadian mains water pipe is entirely up to what size of pipe connections each country uses. You'll have to research that.
In the worst case, if they don't match, I'm sure a competent handy-man or plumber could fit some kind of adaptor. |

Just make sure if you buy a filtered model that you also have a supply of filters. They should be changed every 6 months or so on some models. |
