I'm gettin' into sketch comedies but my knowledge is pretty simply slim.

I love Kids in the Hall. I've seen a few of the older brittish ones; "bit of fry and laurie" and a couple others that escape me (course, monty python).

What's the BEST sketch comedy?

The Fast Show, definitely.

Early Harry Enfield stuff not bad either, and Smack The Pony.

Oh, and Little Britain, of course.

I'd have to go with The State.

That show used to drive two of my friends up the wall. But then again, whenever i'd hang out with them they'd constantly quote from that damn Seinfeld show. Man, I found all the characters so annoying.

have to give some credit to "the amanda show." With amanda bynes. sure, it's a nick show, but notable for her playing her own lesbian stalker, penelope taynt. "Amanda, please!" she was one step from raping and killing herself, not necessarily in that order.

Have you watched all of Monty? Even the guys themself admit that a lot of their skits were just filler.

Kids in the Hall is great.
The State is also worth watching.
Mr. Show had some of the most genius sketches ever.

I'm a big fan of Upright Citizen Brigade. The little Donny show was brilliant.

Bill Murray as Nick Winters the sleazy lounge singer on Saturday Night Live.

Staar Waaars! Nothing but Staar Waaars!

Brilliant. I'd be in that bar, ski lodge I think it's supposed to be, every night.

I love that Mr. Show bit with Jesus and the 13th disciple, or whoever he is.

Now Jesus, what if I told you...
