that is nasty, i feel bad for you.
i once got harrassed by two drunk ajoshis in the subway, they kept asking me if i was a russian prostitute, even though i ldon't look russian or like erm, a prostitute. |

That sounds horrible. I would've asked them if they're Japanese...because they look it. I would assume many would find that offensive. |

| We probably do all look russian to them though. Most of my white friends can't tell Chinese/Japanese/Korean apart to save their life... |

I have East Asian friends who sometimes can't tell the difference between Chinese, Japanese and Korean just going by facial features alone so I think it's not easy even for Asians. I'm pretty good at it now but even if I wasn't, I would never ask an East Asian person some retarded stereotype related question like those ajossis did. It's okay to get somebody's ethnicity wrong because of lack of exposure. It's altogether a different matter to assume that the person is a prostitute because of it. |
