Yet the thing is, they take the money right out of my bank account. It can't be for lack of funds because I have quite a bit saved in the bank. Any one ever had this happen to them?

I'm trying to figure out how they magically stopped taking money from my account when theres always money in there.

Are they taking me for a ride? Or is this some sort of common snafu.

I've had the same problem with my TV. Apparently it took them six months to figure out how to withdraw money from my account...or something like that.

As long as your bankbook shows the statements you should be okay. Probably just some snafu.

For extra fun my old company is threatening to black list me because of this. Jesus.

I got an angry e-mail which is how I found out a about it.

The thing is, I paid up to march but apparently all the sudden they stopped taking money out.

Cant you just check your bank to see if they did take the money out..If they did, show them the proof...If they didnt then just pay up...

Tell them to stop withdrawing money from your account. Request that they send you a monthly bill instead. Take the bill to your bank. Transfer the money from your account to their account via ATM machine for no surcharge. SAVE THE RECEIPT. Problem solved. I don't let anyone gain access to my account here. Too many "clerical errors" go unnoticed here.

Yeh, I would agree with this. I had a problem with auto withdraw in the US once and have been cautious of it ever since. Based upon the mistakes I see here from people being tired at work all the time I would never allow anyone access to my account via auto withdraw here.

i totally agree with lekker, but often this request is met with bewilderment if not outright hostility. "don't you trust us?" "well since you asked, actually no, i just met you, and besides, i don't trust ANYONE with my bank info".

when i got internet service, i asked when i would receive a bill. they said "we gave them your bank info." "you did WHAT?!" "oh, we didn't think that would be a problem". the internet company wanted to charge me extra to receive a bill each month and i told them to send me a bill or eat it. i eventually received a bill.

yikes. bank info is serious business, and with internet and cellphone banking, you're just asking to be cleaned out. koreans are incredibly naive when it comes to data security, and will not think twice about giving up their personal info, or worse YOURS. make it clear that you are trusting them with your information, and under no circumstances should they divulge it to anyone!
