Seems that sending a former Olympic swimmer to circumnavigate the place wasn't enough, so they got the B-Boyz to dance on the damn thing!

When you click on the "Japan" entry on stuffwhitepeoplelike.com, the first thing you see is a google ad stating "DOKDO IS KOREAN TERRITORY".

I guess targeting the hipsters is the first step in world conquest.

Every time that google ad is clicked, it costs them money.

The ads likely cost between 20 cents to $1.50 per click. Maybe more on some pages. That's how Google ads work. You can have your ad shown on thousands of search pages, and you won't pay a think unless someone clicks.

I am surprised no one said, "Hey, let's protest obsessive Dokdo weirdness, and just click away every time we see a Dokdo google ad, Then close the page that comes up."

That would be a mean thing to do. It would literally cost them.

I wouldn't mess with those guys. They're "internationally known break-dancers". I see them coming, I'm going the other way.

There is a lot at stake with Dokdo or what you want to call it.

A lot of rights to natural resources and things like that. Big money.

If you think it's just about a physical piece of rock and that's it, you're wrong.

Sure the Dokdo mania is a bit silly, but it's no sillier than the Freedom Fries. Remember those?

I do remember. How long did that last? 2 weeks? Maybe three? And then there's Dokdo....

I agree Dokdo is about the $$$ as much as it is about the standard 우리나라 bullshit, if not moreso. If Korea can get those resources through stupid google ads more power to them. But it does look quite silly.

Yeah. And I was posting on political websites how I thought the guy was an utter joke and a moron. Ironically, I think he came out in the end against the Iraq war. I believe he had a lot of military personnel in his district who were doing double or triple stints in Iraq.

Simply because we have conservative, reactionary idiots in America doesn't mean we can make fun of the same in Korea!

trying to start up a hagwon here

just a matter of parents giving permission to let their kids row

the hour or so out here in a skiff, through rough seas, at the end of their

regular school day of course.

also, i am looking for a major league a-hole and sleaze to play the proper

part of hagwon "boss" to keep things authentic
