Boy, is that a false sense of security.
They don't need to import it from Canada (and Korea was never really a market for Canadian products anyway).
Listeria IS present in Korea and there is no testing to ensure the food supply chain is safe and food poisoning is so common here that there is probably little or no testing of victims for it either.

The whole listeria thing in Canada is a bit out of control. It's an extremely common bacteria, and only the elderly , immuno deficient folks and pregnant women have anything to be concerned about. That said, I did check my parents fridge and freezer the other day |
