I'm looking for directions to this Indian restaurant that seems to have good reviews.
I have seen people say it is next to Dongmyo station and others say Dongdaemun.

Which one is it? And is this definitely the best option? I'm looking for a similar experience to what you would find in Indians in the UK.

it almost pains me to share the information...but here you go. Smile

take exit 3 of Dongdaemun station (not stadium station). continue walking until you hit the first road about 20 feet or so (alley really) and go left. the shop on the corner is a pharmacy. then take the first right and you'll see Everest ahead of you about 20 feet or so on the second floor of a building. enjoy.

Sorry, I'm not too sure where Everest is...tho' I think it might be down the street from this great Nepali/Indian restaurant, The Himalayan.

At the street level of Exit 8 of Dongmyo Station (# 636 & # 127), look up: it's on the 3rd floor.

My favourite: great curries, nan bread, salads, chicken tika, basmati rice, desserts, lasi, etc. Just thinking of it gets my mouth watering Smile

If I say I'm going daytime and not at night will you give me the directions?!

Anyway, will these places even be open at around 5 or 6pm?

To be honest since they joined up the brown and the blue lines to that one station my knowledge of the exits has gone to pot, but if you exit the brown station, i.e. follow the signs to the brown line from the blue one, once you have walked through the brown platform and then come up and gone through the turn stile turn left go up the stairs, and then take the stair sup to the road on your left, you will reach the surface and Namastay is on the second floor of the building directly on your left............. Across from huge wedding hall / department store......

They even have a shop next to the restaurant that sell Indian spices, clothes, tea and incense sticks Cool

I see you found as I was typing, there is also another Namaste restaurant in the bottom on Jungno tower but the atmosphere isn't so good, the food however is slightly better Cool

ended up in Namaste. Was great, just stuffed our faces with chicken tikka, chicken sag aloo, samoasa, couple of different breads and a nepali potato thing, oh and amazing strawberry lassis.

I haven't been to Namaste, but I have been to Everest many times and want to give you this advice: don't go on a Saturday night. You'll wait a very long time because they're ridiculously busy that night. Go on a weeknight (maybe not a Friday; not sure what it's like) or for lunch on a Saturday.

There's a great Indian Restaurant in Myeongdong. It's on the 4th floor. There is a sign at the top of the building, yellow, saying "Indian and Nepalese Restaurant." I went yesterday. It was not expensive at all and the Nan bread was the biggest I had ever seen at an Indian Restaurant. The food was excellent and it wasn't crowded at all.
