I have an E2 visa with an after school program.... so not sure who holds my visa.. but am thinking the school.

They told me when I signed I could get private work ..... but can I legally add a "private" job on??

It's a sticky one... anyone done it??

ONLY at another PS.

It is illegal for public servants (including teachers - foreign or Korean) to take a 2nd job that is NOT working for the government in some capacity.

I've done it. I have two jobs right now. To do it "by the books", you have to take an extra trip to immigration with the contract for your additional job, and the necessary signatures from whoever represents the company your for your new job and your current primary job. I'd recommend having your employer call immigration ahead of time to make sure you go to immi with the proper docs. Otherwise you could waste a trip out there. Oh yeah, and it costs $60 in fees. They add the second employer's name to you passport and your ARC. Relatively painless procedure, just make sure you got all your docs in order.

I'm with a public school, but I assume this can be done in a private sector setting as well.

Hi PeterDragon. That was good clear info. Thanks.

I have one question for you. When adding a 2nd employer, do you need to submit a new criminal record, a copy of academic transcript, your degree and a medical check?

Somebody told me that, but it sounds like BS.
