so i have looked through a few other threads and there was nothing to address my question:
has anyone done the phone interview with the chicago consulate?
in the next week or three i will need to get my visa and chicago is way too far away to go for a pointless 5 minute interview. we aren't talking 6-8 hour drive, more like an 18-19 hour drive which means 300-500$ and at least one night spent in chicago. as much as i love chicago, this really isn't going to work. i have checked the website and couldn't find any relevant info and i have heard around that if you are too far away, a phone or webcam interview may be permitted.
has anyone had any experience with this? who has tried for a phone interview and not been allowed one? what was the reason it was refused? who has had a phone interview?
i have tried calling the consulate a few times last week but as of yet no one has answered...
...any info is greatly appreciated! |
