I have a multiple re-entry visa here in Korea, I plan on visiting Osaka soon and was wondering if I need to apply for some visitor visa (4 day trip) while I am here in Korea? Can I just go to Japan with my passport and all will be okay?

Also I have a couple friends who don't have a multiple re-entry visa yet. Could they get into Japan, or more importantly, get back into Korea? Somebody told me you can, it just costs extra. Somehow I feel doubtful about that.

You dont need to pre apply to get in to japan. You should get a 90 day tourist visa at customs. (i'm canadian thats how it worked for me)

Your friends need to go down to immigration (or they can do it online but i dont know how to do that) It costs about 50,000 for a multiple entry stamp. Then they can come and go as many times as they want.
