I've learned recently that about 85 to 90% of my HS students will be getting jobs after graduation and not go to university. Many of them will be working in shops and factories. It's not a technical school, but pretty darn close.
Does anyone have some ideas (besides "May I help you?") that I can teach them so they won't be too flustered when a foreigner walks in their store? I don't want business English as that's too difficult and it's not what they really need. Books to suggest? Websites? Your own ideas?
Thanks in advance! |

Numbers numbers numbers. It's also one of the easiest things to teach, since numbers are pretty well the only thing that we know better in Korean than our students know in English. It also lends itself very well to certain types of games. |
