I was looking at this site
http://www.hikorea.go.kr/pt/InfoDetailR_en.pt?categoryId=2&parentId=382&catSeq=385&showMenuId=374&visaId=E2
and I noticed this section in particular
"Issuance of proof of (lack of) criminal records
o Consulates located in Korea cannot issue proof of criminal records to individuals currently. "
It says "currently" which sounds like things will change in the future. I am surprised, I didnt think background checks could be conducted by outside sources, at least in some areas. |

It was wishful thinking. I know that people from the MoJ have asked that consulates and embassys issue CRC's. However, they were told it is not possible and will not be possible in the foreseeable future.
They interpreted that as it will be available someday. |

kimmi and the moj were dreaming or on drugs.
It would take a change in legislation (at the national level) in 5 of the 7 countries before the consular offices of the respective embassies would be allowed access to the relevant databases.
It is not gonna happen, at least not in this century, just for the convenience of kimmi.
Most of the relevant countries and their national governments / elected official couldn't give 2 hoots about (or likely even find on a map) Korea. It's just not on the radar.
