Hey all, I'm going to spend a day in Busan on the weekend. I heard that there was a place called "Dave's Fish &Chips". I don't have a clue where it is. I heard they have a good English breakfast. Anyone know where it is ? Or any other place that
serves a good breakfast/and or indian/european dinner?

I plan on going to Taejungdae, Heundae beach (for a stroll), Busan tower and just a little walking around Gukjae market. Does this sound doable, or should I plan more ?

If your going to visit busan tower, you should check out the surrounding areas of Nampo Dong and Jagalchi. Nampo Dong is an older commercial area with alot to offer(markets, plazas, hofs) and across the main street towards the sea is the Jagalchi fish market which is huge and worth seeing.

Getting off at a high exit at jagalchi, or a low one at nampo dong should put you right in the thick of it. I'm not sure about the breakfast but there is a great bar in Soemyon that offers free toast.(Rock and Roll, across from the casino down the alley look for kurt cobain.)

there's a great indian on haeundae beach about half- 3/4 of the way along. ganga it's called.

The fish market sounds like it is worth a look, i'll try to check it out. Nampo-dong seems toi be a good area.

I would expect it to be 15-20 thow' for a good meal at Ganga , no ?
I don't mind spending more if it is worth it. Right now i'm dying of boredom with my rotation of korean dishes.

Does Ganga have a cheap lunch special ?

Free is cool, but c'mon, free toast ? i'm not making a
trip for that..thanks for the tip though

Busan Tower sucks. Better: The Observation Deck, which you'll find on the roof of the Democracy Park museum (min joo gong won). The museum has a fascinating account of the history of democracy in Korea, and the observation deck offers a breathtaking view of the city. Busan Tower is higher but with the glare from the glass you can't see as well and photos look even worse.

Exit Busan station and get in a cab. Tell him min joo gong won and he'll take you there for under three thousand won.

hmm, dem. park sounds good, but i can't find much info on it.

Is it set up for one to just chill on the deck with some good eats ?

It is a shame about the wall. We were hoping for a good place to just sprawl and wind down before we come back to Seoul. I was just curious about opening and closing times, layout of the park etc. The tourist booth should have the info, so I won't trouble you....

If we sit on the wall will someone start blowing a whistle like hell has just broke loose ?

There's no one on guard up there. You might see a few other people admiring the view, but no one armed with a whistle. Enjoy!
