|

Can anyone give me directions on how to get a CRC from within Korea?
I'm American.
I got on from the FBI and it has an arrest from 11 years ago. Although I was not convicted Korean immigration won't understand how to read this.
The statue of limitations is 7 years except with the FBI due to the Terrorist ACT. Other than that, I have no record.
So, can anyone give me clear directions on how to get a CRC from a local police station while in Korea for Americans? |

It would help if you disclosed where you are from. |

Um, no, it doesn't. Not at all.
California's not a country, it doesn't grant visas. |

Ah yes you're right. I look like an ass. What I meant was those instructions are clearly for people in California. There isn't a link or any way to download the LIVESCAN card for finger prints.
I'm going to try another state. |

Geez. NO.
People in California go to a Livescan site and have their fingerprints taken electronically. No fingerprint card needed. The instructions here are for people outside the state, who need to submit a fingerprint card by mail.

That's probably because most PDs stateside will have fingerprint cards on hand.
Nevertheless, here you go: http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/pdf/fpcardb.pdf. Print it out and take it to a Korean police station (경찰서, the main cop shop in your city or guNOT one of the small "police box" substations you might find in your dong or ri) and they'll roll your prints for you.
Or go to Yongsan and get it done at the US Army base: http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?p=1586332#1586332 |
