So, I have lots of powerpoint games and lessons from last year ( on MS office 2003). My new school...has MS office 2007. My games and ppts don't work...

I have tried using open office on my usb..but seriously...it takes like 10 minutes to load the ppt. Is there any other solution? I really don't wanna make new stuff lol...(for 2007 office)

www.openoffice.org

It might work. I don't have Office 2007 at my school so I can't speak from experience. Just something that might work.

I noticed how any MS work I do on school computers just says, "file unavailable," when I try to open it on my laptop.

What you need is powerpoint viewer 2003.

Just upload that onto the computer and everything will switch to that. You won't be able to edit with it - do that at home but you can play and print.

I really like www.thinkfree.com for a free, online file and word processing system. Keep your files there, edit them on the go, instantly share. Really works , lots of free memory.

The Microjerks had to give people reasons to purchase their new products, so they started messing with file extentions and stuff. It's really freakin' annoying, and there is ZERO benefit to the new extentions other than to cause confusion and get people to pay to upgrade to the new product. MS Word was good enough, and that was their problem. They needed to give people a reason to upgrade.

This is why MS Word 2007 saves to .docx by default. Yes, you can change it, but I guarentee you'll make a mistake (like I did today) and not be able to open it in an older version.

A-holes.
