My Dad's coming to visit for a weeks in October, and as he's a big fan of the Kodo drummers from Japan, I thought he might also enjoy seeing some Korean drummers.
I'm wondering if the Seoul Drum Festival is worth checking out. Have any of you seen it? Opinions?

The website is:

http://www.drumfestival.org/

but the English link doesn't seem to be working yet. Does anyone know what area/subway station it's at? Is it free, or do you have to buy a pass or tickets for individual events?

Thanks for any info.

The Drum fest is one of my favourite festivals in Korea.
It changes venue every year but I looked on the website and it's going to be near Seoul forest which is near Tukseom station on line 2 ( east Seoul)

Yes it's FREE!!!

Very Happy

Yeah, it is a lot of fun. I really liked it when it was downtown at
Kyeonghui Palace, but last year it was way the heck out of the center of Seoul. Its good to hear it will be near the Seoul Forest, since I live really close to that.

Check it out though--lots of fun and cool to see drummers--especially if you are one--from around the world.

I saw it last year-definitely worth your time.

I was with a Korean gal from Masong who is a bit on the insane
side, but still lots of fun.

Less than a month away from a great event that could potentially draw in tourists, and the English site isn't even up and running.

Way to sparkle, guys. Rolling Eyes

Regardless, I'll be there to check it out. It really is an awesome time!
