Im looking for hagwon work and I am wondering what the going rate for a housing allowance is now. 400-500?

Also, what do you think the monthly wage should be for 2 years of experience in korea and just a bachelors for no more than 7 hours of full time work. 2.4-2.6?

2,400,000 won a month / 7 hours a week / 4.3 weeks in a month = 79,734 won an hour.

When you find a place willing to pay that, please let me know, because I want to work there too!

W2,600,000 is not unreasonable. I would ask for 2.8 and negotiate from there. F series is a pretty hot comodity.

I just turned down a job offer for 2.800.000 million a month, plus 350.000 housing, plus health and pension. For no more than 30 teaching hours a week. Working hours were 2 - 9.

F visa and 8 years of experience. The owner has been through two teachers in the past year. The teachers keep getting fired because they either show up for work drunk or don't show up for work. Don't know anything about the hagwon though.

I refused simply because the time is not right. If he still needs someone in March...maybe I'll do it.

If I were you I would start asking 2.8 plus 400.000 housing plus benefits. Remind them that they save airfare and recruiter money.
