I'm confused about pay for summer/winter camps.

Under GEPIK law, are camps part of the working hours or is it considered OT?

I've heard yes and no from different people...

If the "camp" is at your school and you work your contracted hours then you won't get any overtime.

If you go away to an overnight camp then you do get paid extra.

PS's are getting slick these days. They don't pay jack even if you go away to overnight camps.

You have the right to refuse to do any camp, or extra classes, that would be more than your contracted hours per week, which includes over night 'away camps'. I was asked to do one by my school for 50,000 won extra per day. I said no and there was nothing they could do about it.

Ok, I guess I'll have no choice. My summer camp was 3 hour days for 4 days...I'm guessing winter camp won't be much different in terms of time.

I don't mind camp, but sometimes it's hard to come up with new ideas.

^ that's not too bad. i suggest looking at websites mentioned on dave's for ideas, boggle's world is good for activities/roleplays. or you can buy an esl book, make handouts from it and just supplement in some activities or games here and there.
