A month and a half ago my parent mailed me some clothes and a book. I haven't received anything yet. They sent via sea mail. How long does it take packages to normally reach you from home? |

when I lived here last year for 3 months, I would get packages from the US in about a weeks time. But it wasn't sea mail...I would assume sea mail would take a lot longer |

I've always had good luck with the post office. I don't think 6 weeks is over-long, but if you're worried, have your parents put a tracer on the package. |

From which country was it mailed?
Surface mail from the UK takes about 3 months.
At Easter, mum sent some large chocolate Easte eggs for us by airmail.
Customs cut open and then closed each egg: It took 50 days for us to receive the package.
Airmail normally takes 12 days for a small parcel, but about 7 days for a letter or small Jiffy bag. |

The Korean post office is reliable.
Can't speak for the UK, but the prices they charge are on average 50% less than those charged by Canada Post. |

I sent stuff from Korea to the US two times via "surface". First time took exactly 2 months, second time a little under that. Former roommate's parents sent it the other way (usa--->korea), took 2.5 months.
I wouldn't be worried just yet.
edit: corrected spelling.

I never had a single problem with Korea's postal system in 2.5 years. It's far more likely that if something got delayed or lost or worse, it happened in the UK.
One of my first jobs on leaving school was working for the Post Office [aka Royal Mail] and you wouldn't believe the thievery, clumsiness and just plain ol' shitty attitudes that went on there... |

Never had stuff mailed to me via surface post, but to Canada, it would take on average of 6-8 weeks, and was banged up pretty good, but it did survive. Figure about the same for stuff coming over here. |
