I was walking home and saw them spraying the trees with pesticide. There was a truck driving slowly on the side of the road and a guy in it was spraying the trees with a liquid from a metal hose. He was wearing a suit that resembled an astronaut suit, so obviously he was spraying some really foul chemicals. He was spraying so much of it on each tree that it was literally dripping down in huge drops.

There was a worker about 100 yards in front and 100 yards in back of him holding big danger signs. They were walking along slowly with him as he rolled down the street. This prevented anyone from actually getting sprayed or getting dripped on. I saw a few people go running across the street to get out of the path.

As this little parade moved on and left. The trees all had a very intense, foul chemical pesticide smell. Some of them were still literally dripping a little bit and the pavement all around the trees was stained with this liquid. The trunks of the trees head beads of liguid running down.

Why do they need to do this? What are they trying to kill that is so bad? Whatever pest they are trying to kill, is it really worse than this enormous amount of pesticide? I find it ridiculous that they would do this. It's just not healthy or safe at all.

My daughter was bitten by a small ant several years ago, and is arranging now to have this largish (1.5 cm diameter) tumor removed from her baby finger where the ant bit. She is old enough now to have the general aneasthetic. Of course, I am worried for her.
There are some nasty insects around.

The snakes in this country are small adders. I hear they have a heck of a punch.

And then there are the powerful herbicides they spray around bushes and trees and random other areas.

Six months later, the ground is still bare of all life.

No wonder Koreans don't drink their own tap water.
