I'm about to come back to Korea with a new MacBook Pro and I'm trying to figure out the best (safest) way to plug it in once I get there.

Not sure if this is just for the new models, but my powercord has two options: a three-prong plug (recommended, so you're grounded), or a two-prong plug. Is the two-prong plug (with the 500W adaptor) okay?

I can't see any way that the three-prong could be used anyway, as Korea only has two-prong sockets. What do people with three prong plugs do (Dell users for example)?

Two-prong plug is fine. There are workarounds to use the three-prong plug with an adaptor as well.

World Travel Adapter Kit is so unnecessary but so elegant! I have the choice of a US two-prong, US three-prong, or Korean two-prong. Heck, I have a lot of choices I don't know what to do with...

Ooh...from the picture I see you're not from the US. What is that two-prong plug, anyway?

whoops, I didn't look closely enough at this pic before posting it (I got it off google images). No, I'm from Canada, so I've got the US kind of plug. That two prong plug thingy can be plugged into the brick if you want to plug into a two-prong socket, and the three-prong cord can also be plugged into the brick (same spot) if you want to plug into a three-prong socket.

Glad to hear there's no worries about plugging in. I was on a PC my last three years in Korea (Toshiba two-prong), so it never even entered my mind.
