Are you getting frustrated that no one cares about your lame trolling on all these Canadian election threads.

Trolls=sad
Trolls who don't get noticed= wow.

I think the salient point here, Newbie, is that something is wrong with Canada when you have 3 elections in 4 years . . .

. . . or something.

Oh, and, I agree the Green party should get a platform. Although one would think that Global Warming might be a net gain for Canada.

Well, an election usually takes under 40 days from start to finish so it's not too bad. And eventually we'll get a charismatic prime minister like Chretien again that'll rule the country for three straight terms, and we'll have the same government for over a decade again. The current crop of candidates is just so boring that you have to give them a shake every year or two.

Harper was actually the only one to say that he would not participate in the debate if she was a part of it

He's been saying the opposite publicly, cite your source. My guess is all three said they wouldn't debate her, which would leave her and Dion to "debate".

It was CTV News actually look it up.

It happens because we have a tri-partisan system where 2/3 parties have to agree on the federal budget or any nation changing policy that the ruling government is trying to implement. It's annoying... but at least we get to have our say AND we get free health care. If Harper was a majority leader he would have cut our H.C. system which would suck.

Yeah, I was merely trying to exhibit to the Newbie an example of really POOR reasoning based on ignorance. I don't think Canada's election process is really at all indicative of very much whatsoever.

Well, she's in.

Should make for an interesting debate, will she criticize Dion or vocally support him?

There was also talk on CTV last night of the Christian Heritage Party having a Conservative or right-leaning Liberal joining their party so they can enter the debates as well.

A couple weeks to go, we'll see what happens.

CHP had .19% of the popular vote; Greens had 4.5% in the last election.

The Consortium's decision has nothing to do with popular vote or polling numbers. Rather, their decision is based on having an elected MP as part of a party caucus.

Thus, if the CHP, Green's or Reform in 1993 manage to have an MP, they have a very good chance of entering the debate.

I welcome the Greens to have more of a voice because the environment is very important. However, many people feel they must choose between the Liberals and the Conservatives, and the NDP the most powerful part to the left of the Liberals. There is also the issue of dealing with first past the post type of system which Canada and Britain both have, and I assume Australia does as well. I wish the US would reform its politics to allow for more space for other parties.

How so? What would he do? Be specific.
