Hi,

I usually bought my phone card/number by purchasing online (transferring money and receiving a PIN by email) but the company seems to be no more.
Can you recommend another company providing the same service please?

Thank you,
Mike

PS - I did try the search feature, in vain.

Thanks Davy but I'm looking for international call credit for telephone to telephone calls; not PCs.

I was expecting a quick and easy answer. I simply wanted to purchase from the convenience of any internet connection and there's no credit card details used, just a bank transfer. Also, this service provided deeply discounted rates, unlike the cards in your typical corner store.

I just got one the other day in a corner store--something like 9 hours for W20,000. I think that's pretty good.

20K for 9 hours is better than good. It's great.

The catch, though, is the connection fees and the first minute will eat up half the balance. There's always a catch.

Mickydenn, with skype you can make calls from your PC

i) to other PCs (with skype) worldwide for free; and,

ii) to cells or landlines at lesser per min fees (than phone cards (*))

eg. to landlines in Korea = US 2.1 cents/min
and to cell phones " " = US 7.3 " " "

(*) = I found that the cheapest phone cards from Korea to Canada were about US 3.5 cents/min

NB: Skype now has monthly plans that allow unlimited calls to other countries (eg. to the the US & Canada (for US $ 3/min?)).
