hey all i'm back with more stupid questions that i could probably guess the answers too. well i'll be buying a plane ticket for my man to visit me in dec and i noticed that the ones for sept are really cheap. is that something they do for the last minute buyers and do you think it would be cheaper if i waited? all common sense tells me now get it earlier but hey, maybe you guys know of some really good round trip deals or easily overlooked places to buy? i would hate to buy one and then realized i got hosed. so really any advice on where to get cheaper tix is good too. thanks in advance!

Either buy this or next week, or wait until the last minute and HOPE for a great deal. Tickets on most airlines skyrocket from about the 20th of September each year (so says my ticket counter buddy) due to the beginning of peak-season travel sales.

Actually, they will take the jump on Dec. 15 this year.

Buy now or wait and hope that you can get an empty seat for cheap later (odds are NOT in your favor).

.It is even worse on the return flight with the lunar new year holiday falling at the end of January this winter.

In my searches, I found the best prices at cheapoair.com. Anyone have a better site?
