| For the love of Jesus, can we please stop posting shit about US beef? Anyone with half a brain knew exactly what was going to happen. Some people would bitch and complain, but when it came down to it they'd buy it by the truckload. The protests are over, the K-People seem to have seen the error of their ways. Can we just drop it now and bask in our self-satisfaction in a more dignified fashion? |
I just thought wylies was posting this because he's alarmed they're buying all his beef up. Judging from his other thread, he really really likes his beef! |
Politics, my stomach, and saving money are making me buy and eat as much US beef as possible. |

Are you kidding me? |
Not at all. Not to say I heard a lot about it when it was happening from ACTUAL Koreans (outside of gullible high school students), but I haven't heard shit since they realized what morons they looked like. Not sure if you noticed, but thousands are suing PD Notebook/Diary/Whatever for being lied to about Mad Cow. You trying to tell me that doesn't show that a lot of people have figured out they were duped? Mind you I had ONE adult coworker (I'm the only whitie at my school) bring the subject up with me at the height of the protests and when I responded with, "I think it's stupid and blown out of proportion" he dropped it without a fight. |

| There's still a group of "protestors" who are intimidating the larger chain stores and keeping US beef out of Lottemart, E-Mart, and Home Plus. |

"Protestors"? You sure about that? Or is it big corporations just being typically conservative (re: cowardly) and afraid of any smidgen of potential controversy?
Like I said, just be patient. Emart et al will soon see how much money they're losing if more people start going to the smaller butchers. Then, hopefully we won't be posting about this on here anymore. |

| When McDonald's in Korea has posters advertising that they sell only clean, safe American beef, then it will be over. |

| My hagwon's employees and students all still claim that American beef is unsafe. |
