Maybe someone who can read Korean can help me.

I'm considering DLing warhammer when it comes out from the EA store at:

http://eastore.ea.com

But no matter what I do, when I go to the store it changes everything to Korean. I have used links for the US store. I have registered and set my country to Canada. It won't let me access the US or Canadaian stores. I have a Canadian VISA and don't want won pricing or Korean versions.

Is there any setting I am missing? Or am I going to have to spoof an Canadian or US IP with a proxy server to get the North American store?

Welcome to the wonderful world of EA!

Sorry, not much useful info.

I will be writing a letter soon to let EA van know of my displeasure that they have yet again not provided an option for ntsc-j users of the xbox 360 for hockey, and that they have lost any kind of business and allegiance to 2k. Screw ea.

This is so weird...I managed to get to the US/Canada shop the first time I did this, then when I checked it again, it would always bounce me to the Korea site...hum...

Okay, try this...I just got to the US/Canada store this way...

1. Click the "EA" tab at the top left, it will take you to the EA Korea homepage.

2. Look at the top right - you should see 국가 선택 - This means "Select Country" - clicky clicky

3. Choose USA/Canada

4. Choose Shop

As I said, it worked for me once - could see downloads for sale in dollars and everything...but only once. I'll keep looking at it (until I get bored) and edit my post if I find a proper solution. But it don't look too rosy.

I just re-read your OP and you probably did this already...soz! I'll let you know if I can find anything more useful but it doesn't look like it.

Edit: Epic Fail...sorry mate. I'll leave this up here only because it really did work for me once...but only that once. Stoopid EA...

Man, you guys must be doing something wrong because when I type ea.com in my address bar, it goes to the global site where I can pick what country I want. Select US and there's the Shop in USD and English!

Yeah, that's what happened for me the first time...but every time since then, no joy. Just Korean site.

Maybe Jeju doesn't count as Korea in EA eyes...

Worked that way when I was in Incheon, too, so I doubt that's it.

Yeah I hear your pain about EA screwing you over by neglecting NTSC-J users on Xbox360's so they can't play the hockey. Heck I went to the trouble of selling my korean console and get a U.S. console on base JUST so I could buy and play NHL 2008. I ranted and raved on the EA forums and NEVER got an answer as to why the region locked NHL 08, thus screwing over NTSC-J users. It's one thing to choose not to sell a game in a region cause they're worried about sales, THAT I understand. But to stop us from using our own money to order the game and have it shipped over is just POINTLESS. It's NO skin off their teeth to leave it region free. They're complete A$$sholes for doing that.
