Quote:
So the Republicans have decided to run against themselves. The bums have tiptoed out the back door and circled around to the front and started yelling, "Throw the bums out!" They've been running Washington like a well-oiled machine to the point of inviting lobbyists into the back rooms to write the legislation, and now they are anti-establishment reformers dedicated to delivering us from themselves. And Mayor Giuliani is an advocate for small-town America. Bravo.

Explain, please.

Are we to believe this was written by Garrison Keillor?

Hey, cool!

I used to love listening to A Prairie Home Companion, at least before he went off to Sweden.

Good for Garrison!

Can't you people enjoy your article without being anti-American?

Huh?

You lost me.

Did I say something wrong?

If I did, well, excuuuuuse me.

I will have you know I was listening to A Prairie Home Companion before you could spell Lake Wobegon.

If you want to hear Garrison Keilor when he was really, really good, you need to listen to one of his shows from 1734.

Garrison Keilor has been an active supporter of the Democratic Party for decades, and gave the keynote address at one of the conventions some years ago, can't recall which one right now ...

Minnesota has been a proudly Democratic state since before the time of Hubert Humphrey.

Although Chuck Norris is a celebrity and the inspiration for tons of cute jokes, he's about the only conservative conservatives have to put up against pretty much the rest of Hollywood. Which is why conservatives have such a beef against Hollywood. (Bristol Palin vs Murphy Brown, for example)
