Excellent ad Mith.
And yes I want a vice president capable of such savagery.
But not to innocent animals of course but rather to Hizzbollah and Al Qaeda. |

Stephen Hawking uses a computer. McCain is just out of touch. And now the GOP is shedding crocodile tears over the "insult." Yawn. |

Hell, if Dick Cheney can shoot a man in the face and get away with it, obviously aren't standards aren't that high. |

Good for Stephen Hawking
At least McCain doesn't seek to disarm the US.
By the way which is more difficult flying a jet or using a computer? |

Good question. Which is more difficult? |

The war wounds issue is a bit of a red herring, in my view. I personally am a little skeptical that McCain totally lacks the digital mobility necessary to hit keys on a keyboard. I think I would have heard something about that previously. It was well-known that Bob Dole had a bad hand, for example.
The main issue is that people have the right to decide what types of technology they're going to use, and staying off-line is a legitimate option. It was kind of pathetic when Burton tried to argue that because McCain is off-line, he doesn't understand how important the internet is for the economy.
I'm really surprised that that ad made it to TV. It was frankly rather boneheaded, and I can't believe no one foresaw the Republican rebuttal. |

Given the lasst 72 hours, nothing surprises me. As you probably heard, even K. Rove complained J. McCain's campaign ads have crossed the line. Welcome to the gutter, ladies and gentleman. Probably will only get worse. |

| Speaking of the gutter, that video Kuros posted was obnoxious. Does that really pass for commentary and political discussion? PBS just had a discussion with Robiouni and Roghoff (sp) and it was civilized, polite and yet they were able to express differences of opinion. They also discussed substantive ideas using reason etc. |

If McCain can't use a keyboard because of his injuries, the Obama camp owes him a big apology. Joo says he can't raise his arms above his shoulders. It hasn't been established just how impaired McCain is.
If McCain can't use a computer for other reasons--like it's new and confusing technology--then Fox News is just cynically using the war to score points.
(I have friends my age who tape over the blinking numbers on their VCRs because they can't set the time. I completely sympathize with them, although I'm not as bad as that.) |

Ya-ta - Your keyboard shouldn't be located above your shoulders. You might want to find a higher chair or a lower desk.
And yes, McCain can move his arms well enough to at least operate a mouse. Just watch any video of him. He likes to talk with his hands.

And I'd suggest that none of them are qualified for being President in the 21st century. |

Chair? Why didn't anybody tell me 10 years ago not to sit on the floor under my computer? Jeesh! |
