Watching this interview is there anyway that Sarah Palin could actually be taken seriously as the VP of the United States of America?

Go to war with Russia? Chase terrorists into Pakistan without the consent of the Pakistan government because it is "God's plan?" NEVER HAS MET A HEAD OF STATE OF A FOREIGN COUNTRY!

Her inexperience was evident. You can see Russia from Alaska? She oversaw oil and gas development in her state? These facts were cited in support of her as prepared for national security issues. Laughing

And her ignorance of the Bush Doctrine, a foreign policy position that millions of educated Americans are aware of from the NYT, WP and local newspaper op/ed pages, was not only evident but glaringly scary when she then demonstrated no principles of restraint on the use of military force abroad, despite the interviewer's repeated attempts to get her to demonstrate some awareness of the political issues.

It was the scariest, most absurd thing I'd heard since Bush's press secretary admitted she has no idea what the Cuban missile crisis was.

Did Obama have much more world experience before the Democrats sent him on a whirlwind tour of the world around Democratic nomination time?

You can't discuss the inexperience of Palin without highlighting Obama's.

It figures you'd like Obama, he's just an affirmative action pick. But then, if he does get elected you can count the number of weeks he lives.

Well, considering his family background, and the fact that he spent part of his youth growing up in a foreign country, I'd probably say "Yes."

Has Obama made many blunders in this area so far? Didn't McCain make a gaffe a few weeks ago by saying we were at war in Iran, instead of Iraq?

The worst criticism I've heard of him is that he was called "naive" (by McCain) and I think it's because he said we should go chase bin Laden in Pakistan even without getting approval from the govt there. Well, this is exactly what Palin recommends ... and it turns out to be just what Bush has been doing for a little while now.

anyone seriously considering voting mccain/palin deserves to be disenfranchised for a period no less than and no longer than the next 5 general elections.

seriously - do you want another person who says "nuculer" for "nuclear" anywhere near any sort of power? think *bleep* hard, folks.
