Wow! That is so funny you posted this...the past weekend I finally went in because I was craving some buffalo wings, which apparently is their specialty...

On the weekends, it's all about FOOD....

So first I get a warm can of iced tea. Then I have to pay 2000 won extra for 7 sprigs of celery to go with my wings. Then I get a caesar salad which has three pieces (I COUNTED) of romaine and the rest soggy lettuce. Swimming in bottled, straight-from-the-shelves-of-Emart caesar dressing. Then I get the wings, which were pretty good except I ordered "fried" when I should have ordered "baked". Deep-fried wings are not the ticket, kids. The sauce was good. The blue-cheese dip was OK, although it was a nice tiny portion I always seem to get in Korea. I am so sick of ordering MORE salsa MORE guac, MORE of what MAKES the dish.

Anyway, then my credit card got declined. But that's not their fault. Cool

I almost complained, but was too cranky. I also did a "would it change anything?" analysis and decided the odds were not in favor of complaining. The place was busy and there were 3 Koreans on the floor.

So disappointed. But not really surprised. I am only truly satisfied here in Korea when Im craving kimchee.

Negative.

Amateurs would have people believe so, but it ain't so.

They're good.

But they're not superior to deep-fried wings.

The only thing I partake of in Itaewon is the Guinness, If I get hungry I grab a Kebab from the kebab man.

You could broil the wings after baking them for a while. That way you can make the sauce stick to them better.

You could do that.

Or you could just say yourself, '*beep* it, they're wings and the age of the yuppie is gone and I want them fried in oil with a batter that instantly reacts to the intense heat and not only creates a place for sauce to cling to it also gives a slightly chewier texture and locks in the juices better and reduces cooking time.'

I've eaten there a few times. One of the things I like about it is, the perfect English. The only thing I would recommend off the menu are the burgers. They are huge and delicious. I got the Chicken Ceaser Salad one time, and I had the same problem. Soggy Nasty lettuce and way too much dressing, and about 10 hard boiled eggs. My friend ordered the club sandwich, it looked arlight, but not worth the price. The service is really slow as well. Three people ordering burgers took about 45 minutes to cook. Oh, and don't be fooled by the sign, just becuase it says All American Diner, doesn't mean they will refill your drinks without asking. You have to yell at them to come over. But maybe that was just wishful thinking.

I like cooking the sauce onto the wings. But hey. Fried or baked or whatever. As long as they're spiced right and/or have a good sauce along with being cooked properly, it's either way for me. Besides, I don't think many restaurants bake wings. I was just thinking of cooking at home when you don't have a deep fryer.

Wings are wings. Takes a freakoid to fk them up.

They've got a reasonable all day breakfast though. Albeit lacking fried eggs.

Bad service at a freakin' diner? Sounds like everyone should pass on that place.

Funny that someone recommended the burger, that's what I had, and I was as sick as I can remember! I missed two days of work and still feel a little queasy....

Damn, too bad... I wanted to try their breakfast.

For those complaining about service in Korea: People, it ain't gonna happen. That's why there's no tip required! You want your water glass refilled? Better break out the "YOGI-YO"!

FWIW, the owner of the place was posting on that other site a while back, asking for foreign imput on ways to improve. Next time you're there and have a comment, tell him, and it might actually have an effect.
