I think your students would be better off with the EFL / ESL version.....

http://www.aidtochildren.com/ Cool game.

http://www.freepoverty.com/ is along the same lines.

Free Rice will be coming out with Content oriented quizzes shortly (if not already).

You can get all sorts of games for learning English on EFL Classroom's Games page. Most with audio.

Those first two would sure be boring classroom games, though the second was fun for me to try. The eflclassroom ppt games work really well in the Korean classroom, though for some the level is all over the place and you need to tweak some a bit or preteach some vocab.

What a world we live in. A game used to donate water, of all things.

Yeah, I wouldn't use either of these games instructionally. They are best for self study though motivationally or with a small group they might work as a focal point.

Of course - the best games are those the teachers "tweak" and connect precisely to their own class curriculum. Also, the levels are all over the place in many cases because the student's levels are also all over the place in most classrooms.

But I've used a lot of the full screen flash games too in class. Many work quite well, to compliment specific class / lesson objectives...

Many more teachers also sharing which is good. Look in the resource area. Here is a recent one about Korea and the Olympics. http://eflclassroom.com/flash/olympicsquiz.swf

Cheers,

For a teaching tool all you have to do is look in the mirror, OP.
