I've looked at the Red Door and the Foreign Food Market in Itaewon.

The Red Door had ONE 16oz. tub of cottage cheese. Foreign Food Market had nothing.

I want to find lasagna noodles, ricotta cheese and cottage cheese. Where are these things??

Good luck.

Do you have a big oven? I've never made lasagna before.

Such a quick reply! But alas, no help. And yes, I have a big foreigner's oven, much bigger than your typical Korean oven. Laughing

Isn't ricotta cheese used, too?

I was hoping this was the answer, headed there soon.

Itaewonguy and ying, depending on the recipe, I'd rather use ricotta and mozzerella, but the recipe calling for 16oz. of cottage cheese was very good. I'm not a regular cook, either, but I'm exploring my oven options.

Made lasagne on the weekend, found the lasagne sheets at the Hannam Market. I don't use cottage/riccotta cheese in my lasagne so I couldn't help you with that Smile good luck.

There is actually and "oven distict" in Jongo-gu, too. If you took Daehangno in Hyewha to the Cheonggyechon (which you can't as the section between Ihwa Junction/Hyehwa and Jongro is one-way), just after the Cheonggyechon (the actual stream) is a market area on the right. Tucked in there are baking shops with pans, dry ingredients and other things.

I tried making ricotta at home once for my lasagna. It wasn't too hard, but more effort than it was worth. I just use more pizza cheese.

I was at an Emart last weekend looking for lasagna noodles and cottage cheese, but left empty handed. I remember how I seen these 2 items in Home Plus stores. Home Plus has a lot more selection than Emart any day.

Typical set of Dave's replies. Ten or more jerk-offs feel they have
to puke up their lack of knowledge, put in a useless suggestion and
NOT answer the question. If you can't answer the question: shut-up.

Go to Hannam Supermarket in the basement of the Volvo building
near Itaewon. You can get ricotta and flat noodles.
