1 gallon of milk in the US goes for about $3, but it's more than $7 here. Some GS25s and Buy the Ways are charging 1,500won for 500ml of milk. I know Seoul Milk has raised their prices twice this year due to an increase in cattle feed costs, but I still have a hard time paying this much for milk, especially since it costs more than a liter of gasoline. |

Soy milk's pretty cheap...and tastes better...but sometimes a little too sweet.
I don't really like the taste of the milk here anyway...not a bit milk fan to begin with.
At first I thought maybe you were just being a little compain-y, but then I figured there are people who can't get enough milk...drinking big glasses of it and junk. |

Thats cuz you are buying milk from a convenience store. They have 1500w 2 liters of Samdasoo. The same thing is only 900w at marts. |

Yeah, yeah. Why don't you go start another thread that you know, and everyone else knows, already exists, so you can be "popular" on big ole Dave's ESL Cafe. |

There's no such thing as soy milk, because there's no soy titty.
It's soy juice, and if they sold it as such, most people would just basically throw up in the aisle just looking at it.
Yes, i know all this material belongs to Mr. Black |

So, what, you can make an equally attention getting snarky remark in it?
The Youtube thread... I was unaware the other was still kicking. |

I never buy them at convenience stores. It was just to make a point that the price of milk is way overpriced in my opinion. I usually buy milk at Lotte Mart, but 2.3 liters is still about 4,500won |

The same reason beef is so expensive - there's no grazing land. Anywhere one could have raised cattle was turned into a rice paddy thousands of years ago. |

Yep not a huge fan of milk either..but I want it sometimes...
At my old PS, I got a small carton each day. I took it home but only drank like 1 a week. Now I'm at a new PS, I have to "share" 4 cartons of milk with 6 other teachers in my office. It's better this way...I just get it whenever I want it. |

A 2.3L jug from the supermarket costs about 2800W were I am.
I know that milk costs less in the US, but isn't your entire farming and agriculture industry heavily subsidised? For us Brits, the cost of milk in Korea is a little more expensive than home, but not by a great deal. |

I love milk and would drink at least 2 liters a day if it wasn't so damn expensive. |

I buy about 3L a week and pay 1,450 for each 990ml carton. At today's currency rates, that's only pennies more than my parents are paying in Alaska. (1 gallon = 3.78L) (1USD = ~1440KRW) |
