I work at a public school full time. I was walking around today and I ran into a hagwon owner who claims he needed an english teacher. He begged me to work part time for him for 2 hours a day 4 days a week at 35,000 won an hour. I told him I could not because it is illegal. But he insisted and said that almost every native teacher does it. Im really afraid of taking another job because I do not want to be deported, but I could really use the extra money. Plus how do I know he is not secretly working for the government? Your thoughts and advice would be appreciated because I have to give him an answer soon.

You can work a second job legally if you get permission in writing from your school.
I don't remember everything immigration needs from you. Hopefully someone else will chime in or you can call immigration yourself and ask them. |

The E2 visa is given for a certain workplace. It would be a violation would it not to go beyond the sojourn status of that visa? |
