I know airfares have skyrocked since the last few years. I was quoted from Top Travel, 600,000 won using Eva Airlines for leaving mid- December. I am on the waiting list currently. That price sounds unbelievably cheap, so I'll believe it when I see it.

If you are going to Thailand, how much are you paying? What airline? What travel agency? Just curious as the variety in prices out there.

My advice would be to go to a Korean travel agent and ask specifically for some quotes on the following 3 airlines:

www.skystarairways.com

www.vladivostokavia.ru

www.orient-thai.com

The above 3 all fly Korea to Thailand non-stop and would be priced not too far off 600,000 won. They are all basic airlines at the lower end of the market.

But if you want to go on a premium legacy carrier with all the frills and in- flight entertainment, then you will pay top $$$ (count on at least 1 million won).

^Thanks for the links, but I just did a search on the Russian airline for the dates I wanted, and I was quoted over 1 million won. I really doubt I can get anything much cheaper than 600,000. The only draw with Eva airlines is I have to stay a night layover in Taipei. For that price, I'm not really complaining.

I was just curious how much others were quoted to go to Thailand at that time. Smile

600.000 is the going rate for thailand on vacation times..

some pay 700 or 800... but 600 is the norm...
