This is Korea - with 24/7 broadband there is no reason for a new user to have a bad ratio for more than a week or so and

NO REASON for a long time user to have a low ratio.

If your ratio is down, grab some stuff that is popular (even if you don't want it) and seed it back to boost your ratio.

that doesn't excuse people from not seeding. the whole purpose of p2p is giving back more than you take, ensuring that torrents and files can be shared by everyone.

ttompatz - exactly! although, you're miles ahead of me. i've only d/led 100 gig. my ratio is 2.5 ... i'm not a big downloader, but i've shared plenty of files with the community.

and yeah, the best way to get your ratio up is pick files that are heavily leeched but not seeded. take advantage of korea's bandwidth and share files that are popular.

or, of course, you can upload your own content ... which is the entire purpose of p2p.

I have a reason... a dynamic IP address. How do you get around that? The tutorials on Demonoid didn't solve the problem for me and I've given up trying. Demonoid doesn't register my connections anymore.

Leave your computer turned on - it should stay stable as long as you have traffic going to/from it.

The trouble is getting the tracker to pick up my address again.
As I said, I followed the tutorial on the site many times over, to detail. Then I seeded for 12 hours straight.

Nothing.

I just joined up and it is indeed a great site. But how the hell can you get the torrent files from hd-bits to be recognized as a torrent file? I seem to have to tell my computer each time to open it with uTorrent. Manually. Pain the the rear.

hd-bits seems to be the only torrent site I have this problem with.

I just got a speed upgrade to 100mb/s and last night alone I uploaded 125GB.

If anyone has an invite, I would really appreciate it!

Oh, I can't get the hd site to open... Confused
