Big Rock is a micro-brewery owned by a Korean Canadian. Exit 7 of Gangnam station. Turn right at the first alley, between the clothing store and the bank. If you see Cold Stone Creamery, you've gone too far.
Once up the stairs, turn left and go right up the street; there will be a Starbucks behind you. It's in the basement on your left past a Vietnamese restaurant and a sushi restaurant, across from Jung Chul English Academy. |

Big Rock has some really really tasty beer. Not sure if the Gangnam Big Rock qualifies as a micro brewery, I think it's brewed in Alberta and imported. But it's still great.
Another place is the Platinum Pub. I've only been to the Apgujeong location, but they say they have a restaurant in Gangnam. I really like the beer there as well, nice variety. The atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired (imho)...

Edit - Galbijim says the Platinum Pub is closed for renovations. Not sure if that's true, I haven't been there in about six months.

Castle Praha is pretty good too. Go out exit 6 and it's kind of under the Pagoda building. |

Can anyone deny or confirm the Platinum Brewery's existence in Gangnam? Is it open or closed? If it is open, where exactly is it?
If its not open, anyone know exactly where the apgujeong one is? |

As was I, then I got to thinking of so many other people I miss reading. A majority of the people quoted here http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=52104&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=495 This was the reason I started reading Daves in the first place, pure entertainment. |

There's still a Platinum in Apgujeong. Only beer I miss from this place is the Morphine. That was actually interesting. The rest is "meh" |
