Does anyone know what happened to this pub. It was opened
by a foreigner next to Goose Goose. I don't know what he was
thinking. This pub offered nothing new. Same beer, food.
Although he did serve an all day breakfast. (I'll take mine with
an angioplasty please) But, there was never any women there.
That was probably a big problem. Also there was no good music.

I've noticed the Goose Goose crowd thinning out recently. I think
it is because the bar owners in Hongdae and Sinchon put a LOT
more effort and money into making customers happy.

It's true. Shinchon is just plain more fun than than Bupyeong. The only times I've ever had a decent time at the Goose is when I take a whole group of people with me. The place just feels like it's missing something. Now if they had live music, I'd be there more often. It's in my neighborhood, and I'd much prefer sticking around the neighborhood than going into Seoul. Hongdae is just more lively and awake. For some reason the area around the Goose feels like a dead end on the weekends. Plus I met this really weird guy there one time who I was afraid would follow me home. Sad I heard he was a regular, so I stopped going for awhile and so did some of my friends. Oh and another thing...I don't think they mix their drinks very well at the Goose.

I like the racist policies towards foreigners that Goose Goose has re: paying.

Also, that miserble thing working behind the bar never fails to cheer me up - I wish i could live above the place so I could go there every night.

Comparing frickin' Bupyeong with Sinchon is absurd. And Goose Goose is a terrible place.

There is now a place called "Sha Bar" next to the goose- presumably the former site of the waeguck breakfast place?

Producing eggs and bacon all day does help with foreigners. But It ain't the only key to success.

Scores could of worked but the guy who ran it was a know it all idiot who never shut up and scared away the few customers he had. As for the Goose, I have been here two years and am sort of getting tired of the place on Friday nights. Have been spending more time in Bucheon drinking real beer at the Bavarian and eating real burgers at Burger Buddy.

That sounds divine. I live in Bucheon. Where is this Bavarian located? Do they make their own beer?

The Bavarian is near Bucheon station right across from Batman. They brew their own beer right there. A nice change from the swill at the Goose.

Excellent! Maybe I'll head over there one of these evenings, although I'm closer to Songnae. If you get a moment, could you tell me, what is the atmosphere like there? How is the food? I am particularly interested in eastern european culture, so the name itself sounds appealing to me Wink But I wont set my expectations too high...

My girlfriend lives in Bucheon, so I go there often. Next time, I will insist we go to the Bavarian.

If you see a white guy with a K girl speaking in only Korean, that would be us. Feel free to say hello.

Oh yeah, if you exit the station out the opposite side of the E-mart and cross the street, there is a hof called 'Point'. It's not so easy to find. But anyways, its good and cheap. We go there a lot.

Where is Burger Buddy? Pollyp...oops that looks like polyp, anyway, the beer at Bavarian is nowhere near that of the Deschutes Brewery or Widmer Bros, but is a great step above Cass (with a silent 'c') and (S)Hite.

The owner of that bar was often in Seoul Pub on a Saturday afternoon, mouthing off about how great his bar was.

Yeah, I heard he would just shut his bar down for a week and take a vacation in the Philipines. No sign postings or anything. Then at other times, open really late or not at all depending on his mood. Seems to me someone doing business like that would lose an awful lot of money. Yet, last week when I went to Bupyeong, the sign is still up there.

You couldn't believe a word that came out of his (Scores guy) mouth. He said he was best friends with Tom Green, played junior hockey with Mike Peca, played football with Jesse Palmer (New York Giants) and that his mother's cousin was Bobby Orr...oh yeah and I've got a bridge to sell you.
