I have just bought a Korean Wii and can't seem to see an option for changing the language to English. Can anyone help me out?

Oh well, I'm sure I can find the manuals online if I need them.

While I was looking for the language I somehow deleted the Homebrew Channel. I hadn't even looked to see what it was before I got rid of it. Is it important and is it easy to restore?

Sounds like a question one might have asked prior to purchase...I guess that's just me.

All I needed to know before buying it was whether you could play english language games. The menu is no big deal really, just curious if i could change it.

Anyway, the guy in the shop gave me a 1gb sd card and said something like, patch if games don't work. What's it actually for?

I think you can, actually, if you're really determined. I read on a Wii forum last month that its possible. Unfortunately I don't remember which forum it was and the process was quite technical. You're probably better off just guessing what it all means.

How's that working out with the Korean menus? Is it not problem or big problem? I just looked at the Wiis at Yongsan, they were only 220,000?!? Not sure if that was with the mod chip or not.

I have found all of the menus online, there is a good pdf download where it shows english menus next to the japanese ones and a step by step guide to what they are and what to do. I found it was the exact same for the Korean one. So I can now mess around with the settings no problem.
Just make sure you do this first and don't be an idiot like me and reset the console deleting the homebrew channel in the process.

I paid 210,000 for the console and 80,000 for the chip.

IMO its easier too:

1. Learn hangul ...or
2. get a Korean girlfriend.

Then all you troubles will be solved! Laughing

Not really related but can you get the internet channel here? On the Korean wii?
I have looked in the channels section of the shopping channel but can see no sign of the opera browser to download...

Cheers.
